Trust & transparency

Privacy policy

This policy explains how Silicon Valley Lights handles information when you browse our website, request a quote, communicate with us, or use Lumina.

Last updated: August 21, 2026

Information we collect

When you request a quote or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, property or venue location, project details, timing, photos, and other information you submit. Our website also receives technical information such as pages viewed, browser and device signals, referring pages, and approximate location derived from network data. Attribution data may include UTM parameters, landing page, referrer, and advertising click identifiers such as gclid, gbraid, or wbraid.

How we use information

We use this information to respond to inquiries, prepare and follow up on estimates, plan and provide lighting services, support existing clients, improve the website, understand demand, measure campaign performance, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. We also use visit and attribution data to create or refine advertising audiences, reconnect with people who previously visited or submitted an inquiry, suppress irrelevant advertising, and retarget or remarket our services where supported by the advertising tools configured on the site.

Forms, CRM, analytics, and advertising

HubSpot provides embedded forms and CRM capabilities used to receive and manage leads. Google Tag Manager loads and manages measurement or advertising tags. Vercel Analytics helps us understand aggregate site use and performance. The site also includes an OpenAI/ChatGPT Ads measurement pixel. These providers may process technical, interaction, attribution, and form data under their own terms. The exact tags managed through Google Tag Manager may change as campaigns and measurement needs change.

Cookies and local browser storage

We use a first-party attribution cookie named svl_attr and session storage to retain campaign information, landing page, and referrer across a visit. The attribution cookie may remain for up to 90 days. Essential cookies support the private administrator area and are used for authentication and security. Your browser may let you block or delete cookies and site storage; doing so can affect attribution, forms, and authenticated features.

Lumina chat

If you speak with Lumina, we store the messages in that conversation, timestamps, the page where the chat started, response status, and sanitized error information. We use these records to provide replies, review service questions, improve answer quality, and diagnose failures. Please do not submit passwords, payment-card details, government identifiers, health information, or other sensitive personal data through chat.

Sharing and retention

We do not publish your inquiry or chat transcript. We share information with service providers that operate our website, hosting, database, forms, CRM, analytics, advertising, and AI features, and when needed with professional advisers or authorities to comply with law, protect rights, or prevent misuse. We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described, including client service, lead follow-up, campaign analysis, security, dispute handling, and legal or accounting obligations, then delete or de-identify it when no longer needed.

Your choices

You can use browser settings or privacy tools to limit cookies and tracking, and you can use opt-out controls offered by relevant advertising and analytics providers. You may ask us to review, correct, or delete personal information associated with your inquiry or Lumina conversation, or ask us not to use your contact information for marketing. We will evaluate requests based on the information we can reasonably verify and applicable law.

Security, children, and updates

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect the information we maintain, but no internet system is completely secure. This website is intended for property owners, businesses, venues, event professionals, and other adults seeking lighting services; it is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as our services, vendors, and legal obligations change, and will publish the revised version here.
